I find it kinda sad

So yesterday, my name was on the signboard at the pizzaria where Karl works. I had no idea what I was getting myself into when he took me into the restaurant. He had explained to me on the way that I was to make my own pizza. I just stared at him blankly (honest!) and went with him.

Here are the pictures from my little endeavour.

Me in the bar, trying to regain composure after fumbling with the apron..

Rolling out the dough... Karl didn't tell me he snapped this, damn it! I'm just glad he didn't snap a picture of me trying to toss the dough.. I kinda failed miserably. He's good at it, though.

After weighing and piling the ingredients onto the dough that I had tried to toss, I struck a pose! Karl showed me where everything was and I followed instructions to a fault, really. +/- one or two grams of onion or other stuff.

After a few minutes, the pizza was done! Beer all over the counter, of course. But look at my masterpiece! ^^

Victory, at the huge signboard outside the restaurant. :D Kinda nice to have my name up on a huge signboard like that. It's something you don't see everyday, considering my name isn't all that popular. It is a common last name though.

Interesting experience, really! ^^

I'm in Idaho! I'm doing okay!

One word can sum up my plane flight over here though. And that is "babies". And a LOT of them. I was sitting in the row in front of a row of little kids and babies. They don't 'sing' in unison though, I'll give them that. The problem is that, they take turns to cry. So technically there was NO PEACE on the plane. But I can't complain; I finished the entire Da Vinci Code for the fifth time on the plane.

And it seems like everywhere I go, I don't really have the freedom I need to explore; or just get out of the house in general.

Actually, it really isn't that bad. Karl (otherwise known as Eldritch, the friend I'm staying with) gave me a short list of what to do, and access to his computer (Yay World of Warcraft!!) so I wouldn't be terribly bored.

In fact, Karl's roommates play too, and when they saw my character, Lythania, they all said the same thing. "OH, so YOU'RE Lythania!" Apparently he had told them who I was, but neglected to tell them that I was coming. Hehehe.

I'm going to take a walk around the man-made lake just outside his front door now. Can you believe it?! He lives right NEXT TO A LAKE! It's awesome. There are ducks, otters (I think I saw one yesterday) and a gushing river not too far off. Apparently, the lake's right next to the Boise River which runs through the city.

If I can't go far, I'll just go to the lake.

Picture time! *grabs her camera*

System file missing from laptop.

Fucking OS problem.. I'll need to get it fixed, of course. Crashed my entire computer so it wouldn't boot up at all. There's something about Chris' widescreen laptop I don't like. Maybe because the backspace button is too close to 'home'.. Hehehe. Just kidding.

But I got my tickets to the rest of my trip fixed. I'll be flying out of Virginia to Idaho (assuming Ryan responds to my messages; I have voicemail now!) and move about around there towards Washington / Oregon. I'm gonna like this trip, I think. Hehe.

Anyway, RYAN! Pick up the phone damn it! :P

Whatever Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas

It's April 3rd. I'm back in Tucson after a few days in Vegas! It's awesome, I swear. The sights, the sounds, the shows, the lights... the people! I'm more psyched about the people more than anything. Tall, short, fat, thin, old, young, really young, cute, ugly, everything! I looked around and thought to myself, "Samantha would LOVE to come here one day." for some reason.

Right now however, I'm attempting to defragment my computer. It's been giving me problems ever since I returned. Might have to purchase a new one when I return, which is not a good thing, financially. So I'm on Chris' computer while he's playing Trauma Center on the Nintendo DS (which I feel is an AWESOME game by the way).

The first day was alright. Chris and I had gotten there at around noon where his friend Rob picked us up at the airport. We all ended up at Rob's place for a while, where I plonked on his piano (FINALLY! A piano!) and helped him with unbolting grates in his garage. Now, Rob's family is extremely rich. Well. Nouveau Riche might be the right term to use in this case. But poor Rob. Coming back from leave to have his dad yell at him for spackling the walls the wrong way.

When we got back to the strip, we wanted to go clubbing, but Rob's other army friends turned up in sweatsuits and flip-flops. I mean, Chris, Rob and myself had taken an entire evening trying to find clothes to go out that night. Chris even bought me a pair of heels, damn it. But no, we couldn't go in due to DRESS CODE. So their friends DECIDE that they wanted to walk the strip. Now, Chris and Rob had new Timberland shoes (and they were fucking comfy) and myself? HEELS.

I strained my ankle, go me.
At least I had the best lobster bisque in the world to take my mind off things.

So we decided to take a cab back from the Bellagio (we had walked from the Excalibur to the Luxor, back to the Excalibur and towards MGM Grand and onwards down the strip) instead. My first night was ruined because of my foot, damn it.

While in Vegas, I bought myself a little plastic tiara, like the one I had purchased from Hot Topic earlier last week. True to Vegas style, I wore it EVERYWHERE I went. Also met up with Anne and her fiancé on day 3 and had a blast at the New York New York hotel, with the rollercoaster Manhattan Express (that Anne had to sit out) and the awesome food. And the biggest steak I ever had in my entire life. This time, I had the best clam chowder in the world.

So if anyone's in Vegas, PLEASE catch Zumanity at NYNY, the clam chowder in America in NYNY, and the lobster bisque in The Excalibur. Rob tried to recommend it to a couple sitting near us, but they decided not to, probably thinking it was some sort of prank. Idiots, they'll learn to regret it.

Pictures will be up soon. :)

And could you tell? I love my tiara.

To whoever you are, wherever you are, I love you. I probably don't know you yet, but when I do, I'll know, and so will you. And you'll love me for who I am, as will I.

You might be living in my neighbourhood, or some other town or country far away. I don't know. And neither do you, at this point.

Wherever you are, I know I'll find you... if you don't find me first.

It's just a matter of time.
