Out of so many people I had informed about the fund-raising event, only Samantha, Shannen and Ewan dropped by. Want to thank them for their support even though I was really frustrated about the damned technical difficulties in the first cycle and took it out on Sam. Sorry babe. Actually... want to thank anyone and everyone who had shown their support. Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you.
The management committee of this event changed the location at the last minute, from the empty space at the main entrance to the empty space near Kopitiam. Alot more secluded, but that didn't stop us from making about $400 in funds, in aid of the Straits Times Pocket Money Fund. Most of the money came from the second and third cycle of performances.
*groans* My neck and back are sore from the performances... The table was too low and my keyboard kept sliding around. It was horrendous. But I think we did a pretty good job. All of us. Initially, Mr. Wee did not allow us to play Nightwish, but we then persuaded Ms Lim to let us, due to the fact that our "family themed" music just wasn't raking in ANYTHING at all. Just a few dollar notes and coins. So we changed the list in our repertoire, and Orichion did Falls On Me, and Nice To Know You. We, on the other hand, played Don't Look Back In Anger and Roll Tide.
After the entire thing, we were pretty high, so the bands (One Year Gap, Orichion and Red Horizon) went for dinner at Plaza Singapura, forgetting that it was a Saturday and so was pretty packed. So we ordered take-out and sat outside Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station to eat. Saw photos of the choir's trip to Italy. Dammit, it wasn't fair! My batch only went to Australia! Gee.
Yep, I'm pretty tired right now. My eyes are still refusing to stay fully open. Maybe I'll go... take a nap... or something... *slumps on her keyboard and zzzzzz's*
